The Bilingual Diag
Empowering special education evaluators with knowledge and resources.
Hi, I’m Roxana!
I am a Bilingual Educational Diagnostician in the state of Texas. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Texas and a Master's degree in Special Education from Midwestern State University. I have been an educational diagnostician for over a decade, and I love to mentor and teach others to be the best evaluators and case managers that I know they can be. I am all about working smarter and not harder and sharing resources to help others do the same.
I specialize in best practices for emergent bilingual evaluations and it is my passion to ensure those students are evaluated and identified correctly. My goal is to empower other evaluators with the skills needed to evaluate this population of students as well as provide resources.
I'm so excited that you are here! Come and learn with me!
xoxo,
The Bilingual Diag

Testimonials
“Roxana is knowledgeable, professional and very resourceful. As a life-long learner, teacher at heart and newbie Diag, there are some characteristics that are very important to me and she displays them all. Good leadership skills: a good leader is not afraid to share what he/she knows and Roxana has been sharing all of her knowledge and expertise with me and with our team and she provides specific and valuable feedback without judgement. Good teaching skills: Roxana is a great teacher who not only answers my questions but she also explains the “why” behind every procedure and/or situation, which allows me to really learn and make sense of what I am doing. Patience, Understanding & Reliability: we all need to start somewhere and Roxana understands that. She’s been available and quick to answer all my questions, she is honest and kind when providing feedback and is very good at finding something good and positive to say to keep you motivated and help you build your confidence as an Educational Diagnostician. “

“Roxana has been an amazing mentor! She immediately began giving insight into the life of a diag and how to stay organized. That organization is key. She set me up with so many tools to start out my career. She is over flowing with knowledge. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have such a wonder mentor! “

“Roxana's instruction/training regarding student assessment has helped me have a better understanding of the information and data I gather and analyze to help identify a student's eligibility and academic need for special education services.”
